Web Travel

By D. Mark

In my first blog I have decided to delve into the wondrous world of online Internet trip planners. I started with this topic mainly because I want to equate my own web adventure with a real physical journey. This is not to say that web surfing is far different from a cross country trip. In many instances I have felt while hopping from one website to another like I was traveling between countries. Of course online trip planners are a great source for this sort of feeling and so I have begun my journey at one such travel guide called TripCart. This website has many wonderful features. One of the features I enjoy the most is the interactive travel planner. TripCart allows the user to literally plan out an itinerary online. Using the many in depth articles and pictures, along with detailed maps, one can truly feel like they’ve already begun their journey. In fact when I want to leave my seat, I usually go to TripCart just to peruse the pages in hopes of feeling inspired when returning to my mundane work. I have to admit, it usually works and I think I have planned numerous potential trips. (Of course I just need to find the time to leave my console and see the sights for real.)
